Back in September 2022 Neil decided to take the plunge into the EnduroKA series with a seat hire alongside GM Performance.  The main reason being that as the series would visit Oulton Park...his home circuit.  As he is more than familiar with its layout, in part to the hundreds of laps he has completed on two wheels as against four it made perfect sense to try his hand at a familiar circuit.

Regrettably, due to a technical issue, the car was unable to compete, but Neil stayed with the guys at GM Performance for the day, lending a hand and getting to grips with how the whole EnduroKA paddock operated and the technical side behind endurance racing.

This experience inspired Neil to think about the possibilities of entering his own car in the 2023 series..!!

A chance discussion with Jordan who was making the move from the British Supermoto Championship, where he claimed many titles, including British Champion, and looking for a new challenge.   From this the conversation expanded to the thought of joining forces to purchase a Ford KA.

Within a short space of time Neil was off on a road trip to Derby to purchase a 2019 EnduroKA prepared car from a team who run and prepare GT3's but mainly Aston Martin DB's.  In the corner sat a lonely FordKA that had only competed in one or two events, and was ideal as a stater car.

Much work then proceeded across the Winter and into 2023 to bring the car up to the current regulations, including new suspension, alloy wheels and the relevant safety features.....they even sprayed and wrapped the car themselves to ensure it looked professional and attract sponsorship.

The hunt began for sponsors who wished to join the team on their quest to gain a podium position and before long fantastic offers came in from a number of sources, some in kind pledges and others financial support.  All highly valued and are gaining some good coverage from our media exposure and mentions on the Live Feeds created by MSVT.

The rest is history and the team are proving they can run in the top ten, and even lead races.

Why Team LARR..??

This is a question we are repeatedly asked.

For those who are familiar with a Merseyside friendly greeting, its common place for each other to be greeted with 'how are you Larr'  and therefore the team name was born out of this saying.
